To reduce the ever-growing traffic problems in Lahore, the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has established a Bus Rapid Transit System called Metro Bus System line 1 from Gajjumata up to Shahdara. This BRTS is operated by PMA which makes it one of their first systems operating successfully throughout, Punjab Pakistan. The Lahore Metro Bus system is one of the first metro bus services in Punjab, Pakistan, which was started in 2013.
